Bryan Hospital – Bryan, OH

A 277,000 SF addition consisting of a new east and west wing (4 stories each) added onto the existing hospital. Project included all typical hospital functions including new operating rooms and intensive care units, as well as a new energy center to the entire facility.

The structural framework consisted of concrete slab on composite metal deck and steel framing. Lateral load systems consisted of a combination of moment frames and braced frames. The project required careful integration of the new with the existing. Desai/Nasr met the challenge with the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) via Autodesk’s REVIT software), and resolved subsystem conflicts during the design and construction document phase, which substantially reduced RFI’s on the project..
