Design and Construction of a new 3 story, 133,000 SF Jamrich Hall Replacement. Usage consists of large lecture auditorium, lecture halls, class rooms, meeting rooms, informal learning areas and mechanical/electrical. Single story link to adjacent building.

Building systems, special features, design and construction schedule, and overall construction budget include:

  • Concrete floors on composite steel deck.
  • Composite steel beams and girders spanning to steel columns.
  • Lateral load force resisting system is intermediately reinforced masonry shear walls.
  • Story deep truss transfers roof, floor and column loads over auditorium space below.
  • Polished concrete floors down main corridors on elevated levels.

Pursuing LEED Silver Rating (50 year building).

Because of phased bidding and fast track project schedule, Desai/Nasr issued structural drawings long before the architectural drawings were completed.
