Desai/Nasr Consulting Engineers, Inc. (DNCE) is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager with 10+ years structural engineering experience working as part of a larger A/E team on significant commercial projects. The ideal candidate brings excellent communication skills, innovative approaches to design, and creative problem-solving abilities.

As one of the Detroit area’s largest structural engineering firms, DNCE offers comprehensive structural engineering services including building code investigations, foundation systems design, vibration analysis, special structural investigations, value engineering, structural analysis and design, failure investigations, equipment foundations, finite element analysis, shoring and bracing design, fabrication and erection studies, forensic engineering and expert witness testimony.

Senior Project Manager responsibilities include: client interaction and communication, writing proposals, preparing and presenting reports and specifications, reviewing drawings, providing conceptual structural framing concepts for various structural materials, providing design recommendations and solutions, leading structural engineering team on large commercial projects as part of a larger A/E team, representing DNCE at OAC meetings, and visiting sites for observation during construction. Design and understanding of structural materials including wood, steel, concrete, masonry, cold formed metal framing, and applicable design codes is required.

Experience with the following software products (or similar) is essential: RISA, RAM Structural Systems, Woodworks, Staad and the application of FEA and FEM related to structural systems and materials. Thorough knowledge and application of Revit is preferred.
